The Polish Dual Use Chamber is an institutional cooperation platform that organises and accelerates the development of the security technology market in Poland.

Our main task is to translate civilian industrial potential and innovation into real defence capabilities and the state resilience. We do not merely describe the market – we actively build it, bringing together business, public administration, capital and science.

Areas

Digital technologies, software, AI and cybersecurity

Digital technologies are today one of the key layers of state security and economic resilience. Software, AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, GIS, embedded systems, systems integration and automation are key to maintaining an advantage in defence, critical infrastructure, industry, logistics, crisis management and autonomous systems.

PIDU supports digital companies in entering the security sector, building trusted models of cooperation, working with the public administration, integrators and industry, and developing dual-use applications in Poland and abroad.

Drones and autonomous systems

Drones and autonomous systems are becoming one of the most dynamic areas of security technology. They combine hardware, software, sensors, AI, communications, cybersecurity, data, manufacturing and operational applications in defence, infrastructure protection, logistics, monitoring, rescue and crisis management.

PIDU wants to support the development of this ecosystem by bringing together technology companies, manufacturers, integrators, operators, the public administration and investors around specific needs, tests, pilots, certification, procurement and deployment projects.

Modern industry, materials, components and logistics

National security requires a strong industrial base. Modern manufacturing, components, materials, automation, robotisation, engineering services, MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul), logistics and cooperation capabilities are a prerequisite for building lasting defence and dual-use competences.

PIDU connects industrial companies with integrators, the defence sector, the public administration, technology partners and capital, so that growing security spending can translate into national capabilities, new value chains, exports and the growth of Polish companies.

Space and aviation industry

Space is becoming a layer of national security: data, Earth observation, communications, situational awareness, infrastructure monitoring and crisis management. Poland’s space and aviation sector has competences that can strengthen both the economy and the resilience and technological sovereignty of Poland and Europe.

PIDU acts in a way that complements existing space-sector institutions, bringing a dual-use, defence, infrastructure, industry, financing and international expansion perspective, as well as connecting space companies with other security technology sectors.

Critical infrastructure, protective infrastructure and construction

The state resilience depends not only on military systems, but also on the security of infrastructure, cities, transport, energy, communications, industrial plants, public facilities and critical resources. Protective and shelter infrastructure, technical safeguards, monitoring, risk management systems and resilience technologies are becoming an important area of public and private investment.

PIDU supports the development of cooperation between infrastructure, technology and construction companies, operators, the public administration, local governments and the financial sector in order to strengthen practical protection and business continuity capabilities.

Other areas

Regulation, industrial policy and public dialogue

We represent the voice of dual-use companies in talks with the public administration, public institutions, regulators and security-sector partners. We work on recommendations, position papers, consultations and solutions that facilitate market development, companies’ entry into the sector and better use of the Poland’s technological potential.

Funding, innovation, start-ups and cooperation with universities

We help connect companies with knowledge, capital, support programmes, universities, research institutes and the start-up community. We support the development of consortia, R&D projects, pilots and commercialisation pathways for security technologies.

Compliance, standards and responsible dual use

In the dual-use sector, trust is a precondition for cooperation. That is why PIDU develops standards of responsible conduct, a member screening process, good practices, confidentiality rules and compliance tailored to the specifics of security technologies.

International cooperation and business expansion

We build relationships with industry organisations, industrial partners, institutions and companies abroad in order to help Polish companies enter international value chains, projects, consortia and business relationships.
